Tampa Bay Devil WAUys Top 20 Prospects

I'll start this off by saying: it is hard to incorporate WAU into "Tampa Bay Rays".  Really no good way to do that.  Anyway, we are indeed taking our Top Prospect series to western Florida, where the new-ish RaysGM is working on restoring a farm system that FourthBase obliterated about three years ago.  After the jump is the bare-bones list of rankings, with grades for individual players, and system commentary at the end.

System Commentary:
I'm not sure it can be overstated just how far this farm has come.  There is not a ton of impact talent, and the system is incredibly pitching-heavy, but the Devil Rays once again have a deep pool of prospects.  As most everyone knows, I'm a huge Martin Perez fan, and I love Vizcaino and Campos as well.  The offensive talent is scary; there are a lot of high-risk, high-reward toolsy types.  Golden and Fields head up that particular division, but Jiwan James may be its posterboy, as a raw all-tools outfielder.  I do want to take a minute to mention Connor Narron- I'm a huge fan, and think he'll be great offensively, even if he has to move off of shortstop.  He's the best of a deep group of C+ types.  I may be too harsh with Vitters and Mier, but it should be noted that I've never ranked either of them highly in the past.  Their bats scare me, though I am somewhat more confident in Vitters'.  Overall, the Rays have a deep system that could use some more impact prospects, but the very nature of this farm (filled with super athletic players) means that it could turn out to be overflowing with impact prospects as early as next year.
