System Commentary:
Domonic Brown is the only real impact prospect in Cleveland's exceptionally deep system. Brown should be a five-tool star for the Indians for years to come, but his supporting cast is less impressive. Looking through the system, it becomes immediately clear that Cleveland loves to take chances on high school draftees, as Taijuan Walker joins Skipworth, Gumbs, Culver, and Goodrum in that department. Those five players could go on to make or break this farm, as they're all toolsy high-risk, high-reward types. The Indians would have had a big boost had 2010 1st round pick Austin Wilson signed (he'd have been their #2 prospect, and likely a straight B grade), though they will receive a 2011 compensatory pick. Overall, Cleveland has an impressive amount of depth here. It's just disappointingly back-heavy.
Thanks for taking the time to do write up my system. I agree that there is a lot of depth and that it is disappointingly back-heavy. Hopefully some of my C/C+ players will take a step forward this year.
