System Commentary:
Arizona has constructed a great farm system here, almost certainly Top 10 in WAU.  You'd expect any system with two Grade A prospects to be top-heavy, but the Diamondbacks have balanced it out with an incredible amount of depth.  Trout is a contender for top prospect in all of baseball, and he could bring his five-tool profile to the majors as early as this fall.  Pineda's one of my favorite pitching prospects in baseball right now, and is already MLB-ready.  Further down in the system, there's a nice mix of safety and high ceilings.  Charlie Brewer has flown under the radar, but what he did in the California League last summer should not be overlooked.  Pimentel, Adames, and Gregorius are not really personal favorites of mine, but they're all exceptionally toolsy.  Bats such as Burgess, Tekotte, and Cowgill should counteract their risk with some semblance of safety.  Overall, the Diamondbacks have an impressive, interesting farm that should help supplement an already-good big league club for years to come.
