System Commentary:
Almost as bad as the infamous Tampa Bay Devil Rays review of 2009, this Colorado Rockies system is terrible. I've been putting it off, because I was already aware that the farm was empty from the two years I spent trying to get a prospect of value from it. It's nearly completely buoyed up by 2010 AMAT picks, and maybe the only reason they're still in this system is that they can't be traded until June. The real challenge was finding 20 guys worth mentioning. (Spoiler alert: Not all 20 listed here are really worth mentioning!) The Rockies do, however, have one of my favorite bats in all of the minors in AJ Kirby-Jones. He's the very definition of a TTO guy, and he's in a system that will appreciate him in Oakland. Unfortunately, he's one of the few bright spots here. There's neither impact nor depth, and this farm review made me waste a solid half hour researching guys with names like Trent Mummey. Fuck you, Guglielmo. Fuck you.
